Notebooks are not likely to be a luxurious goods anymore. They who have high mobility and often take a trip, chooses notebook as a true friend to accompany each of their work wherever they go.

But many consumers confuse when they want to buy a new laptop because laptop is not a cheap product. Today various types of laptop with variety of specifications, brand, and price. Consumer often buy a laptop with ‘high’ specification without considering the usage before.

How to choose a laptop according to the needs? See some quick tips below:

1. First, specify the usage, whether will be used to graphic design and gaming, system developing, or mobile.

- If laptop is used to design and gaming purposes, you should choose laptop with a specification focused on VGA card (Video Graphics Array) and powerful memory. If you want your notebook with higher ability, multi-core and 64-bit architecture technology is recommended.

For graphic design or gaming usage, you should choose a laptop with high VGA and larger memory so that designing graphic and playing game feels more ‘light’. VGA card is useful to translate computer output to monitor. While memory is a temporary digital data storage, the size usually based on a standard digital bit: 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB and so on.

- For developing, usually the softwares will need higher resource. You can consider to choose laptop with high processor and memory specification, in order to offset the development of software and developing tools that will need more memory day-by-day. - For mobile, you can emphasize the selection on the battery age, laptop weight, screen size, as well as some internal connectivity features such as wifi, bluetooth, IrDA, NetworkCard, Modem.
