Facebook & Google Create ‘One Door’ Account
Facebook and Google will shortly change all Internet to become a social networking site. Both these giant site has released Facebook Connect and Google Friend Connect.
Both these new products will allows third-party sites to receive visitors who have a Facebook or Google account. So users do not need to create account for these both site.
“Indeed, Google Friend Connect and Facebook Connect aims to promote the use of single digital identity across the web,” said Google product manager Mussie Shore, as quoted from Vnunet on Sunday (7/12/2008).
The benefits of using Facebook Connect is the site owner can use the friend connection data that is owned by visitors through Facebook. Google Friend Connect support more types of online identity at the same time allows the user to inculcate in the Open Social application on it sites.

The main difference from these both solution are Facebook allows users to log in with a Facebook account only, while Google Friend Connect allows users to use the account on Google, Yahoo, AOL, or OpenID without the need to create a new profile in the destination site.
