Today, IT discussions apparently increasingly heated up, both that was heard by us through the electronic media or articles on the print media.
In fact, what was IT? IT was the abbreviation from Information Technology, that meaning the processing and the channelling of the data with using computer, the telecommunications, or digital devices. The question was, did this IT development really bring the ease for our life, or precisely to trouble maker?
In each matter always had pros and cons, likewise for the question above. On the one hand, we could see that the IT development gave the ease for us, but on the other side also gave impacts negative. We could say that with our IT existence received something that was more effective to complete our work. Take the example of a student who received the task of making the scientific paper. Before the existence computer, the scientific paper must be typed with the typewriter machine, this was certainly really impractical. Not only that, if a student needed the data or information concerning the incident that most actual, he really accessed the internet and searched topic that want he learned. Therefore we could carry out saving, we might not buy the newspaper every day or lighted televise to watch the news, where having our internet connection could look for actual news.
Spoke the matter of the cyber world (the internet), we also often listened to the term e-commerce. E-commerce was a new efforts method where the seller offered his product through the internet, and the buyer carried out the transaction through the internet also.
Apart from teleconference, in the world of the telecommunications was also bright concerning the development of the mobile phone. Lately apparently almost everyone who was met by us in the road to bring a mobile phone even more than one. Therefore we could be connected with the other person anywhere we were. Might not look for the public telephone or went to the telephone kiosk to contact the other person, not to mention if the public telephone that was found by us evidently did not function. Moreover currently the mobile phone could be also used to access the internet with GPRS facilities and WAP. Apparently clear that currently humankind already increasingly was facilitated by IT that continually showed the significant progress.
The development of digital technology also apparently really helped and gave very big cost saving. By using the digital camera, we could accommodate many photographs in its memory, even us could editing these photographs before, afterwards we can choose which that will be printed and which that not. We could keep it in the computer or into CD, apart from more durable, also more will save the place (imagined 1 CD could contain hundreds of photographs, if using the album?). And we still had PDA, the small object that could contain various agendas, that certainly really helped for busy people but want to practical.
Therefore could be attracted by the conclusion that the progress in the IT field always gave the ease for us. Only so that technology to really facilitated us, we must continue learned to control this technology and to avoid abuse that not necessarily was carried out.
